No. There are no accounts and no passwords. Open the app and start logging. A username is only needed for the Compete tab, and it is optional.
On your iPhone. Your workouts, food and weigh-ins do not leave it. That also means they are not synced between devices. If you get a new phone, restore it from an iPhone backup and your history comes with it.
Friendship is one-sided on purpose, so nobody can put themselves on your board without you. You each have to add the other. Open Compete and add their username too.
The leaderboard runs on iCloud, so it needs you signed in on the iPhone, in the Settings app, at the very top. Everything else in Log My Lift works without it.
Usernames are first come, first served across everyone using the app. If you had one and deleted your profile, the name was released and somebody else may have taken it.
Because it is never sent anywhere. Pound-for-pound mode publishes a single ratio and never the weight behind it, and it cannot be on at the same time as your actual numbers, because publishing both would give your bodyweight away exactly.
Open Profile (the person icon, top right of Compete), find them in your friends list, tap the … beside their name and choose Block or Report and block. If they sent you something, the same options are on that message on the Compete tab.
Blocking removes them from your friends list, hides them from your board, deletes anything they sent you, and stops them being added again, including through an invite link. They are not told. Reports come to me.
Open Profile and use Delete my profile. Your username, published numbers and messages are removed and the username is freed. Your workouts, food and weigh-ins stay on your phone. They were never part of it.
Delete the app. Everything the app stored goes with it. If you want the shared part gone too, delete your profile first, since deleting the app does not reach it.
Try again first. A full disk or a locked phone can cause it, and both clear up on their own. If it keeps happening, email me the technical details from that screen before starting over, because starting over sets your history aside and the app will not show it again.
Profile → Units. It only changes how weights are displayed; nothing in your history is altered or converted.
Yes. In the exercise picker, choose Add your own. Custom exercises work everywhere the built-in ones do, including on the leaderboard.
Fill the frame with the label, hold it flat, and give it decent light. Small print at an angle is where it struggles. Every number it reads can be corrected before you save. The photo is processed on your phone and is not kept.
Yes. Eat → the sliders button, top right. Choose which nutrients you want to see and set your own daily targets. Anything you switch off disappears from the app entirely.
Email logmyliftsupport@bitsbybaker.com with what happened, what you expected instead, and your iPhone model and iOS version. Screenshots help more than anything else. Bug reports are welcome. This app is better for every one of them.
